Remembering Clarence Fountain and Tee Eva
Clarence Fountain, leader of the Blind Boys of Alabama, passed away on June 3rd. He was 88. Mr. Fountain’s gospel group, which embraced secular sounds without straying from the spiritual, performed all over the world and won multiple Grammys.

Tee Eva, pie baker, baby doll and back-up singer to Ernie K-Doe, passed away on June 7th at 83. She performed with Ernie K-Doe and Eddie Bo at the American Routes July 4th Live on NPR Concert at the Washington Monument in 1993.
