New Orleans Musicians' Clinic Celebrates Its 16th Anniversary at the Historic Carver Theater, April 30, 2014
The Historic Carver Theater will re-open its doors for the first time since 2005 in honor of International Jazz Day (April 30th, 2014) to celebrate sixteen years of the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic . The event will include a screening of the Smithsonian Channel’s documentary by Lawrence Cumbo, Rocking the Opera House: Dr. John and a celebrity panel discussion about the Carver Theater with Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, Vernel Bagnaris, James Andrews and Clarke Peters, moderated by Nick Spitzer of American Routes and Tulane University.
Following the screenings at the Carver, the event continues at the Palm Court Jazz Cafe (1204 Decatur) with the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic Sweet 16 Prom celebration featuring Little Freddie King.
